Hi, wondering if anyone knows if the cassettes on the Viking Husqvarna #1(1200) and #1+ (1250) are compatible. These are the ones attached to the front of the machine.

Thank Peggy for your help. I've checked the website and they only have the Viking 1100 available. Thanks again!

They ought to be... The two machines are identical except for the embroidery capability of the #1+

My D cassette is decorative stitches. I believe all D's are the same.

As far as I know, there were 3 additional cards that came out later on, I don't remember their letter names right now. The #1 may or may not accept them depending on when it was made. For example mine can use only 2 of them, I think it's F and N ? I am not sure if there is a way to tell besides trying the cards on the actual machine.

My mistake, those embroidery cards are called cassettes, not D cards!
There are 5 cassettes:
* 2 sizes of script lettering/numbers (C & M),
*print letters/numbers (B),
*decorative sitiches (D & L),
*utility, mending, quilting, and button holes (A)

I just have the L card and wondering whether the other cards are worth seeking out. What is everyone's opinion?

I have A,B,C,and D and have used all of them. I would think you absolutely have to have A. I'm not home to check all of the others right now.

I have #1(1200) and I have all those cards you listed plus 2 more that came out later. I hope you do have the A card -- that one has the stitches you use most often. I use A card most of the time, but I have used all of them, I think. They do come up on e-bay sometimes, but can be kind of pricey. I actually got my 2 extra cards from a Viking dealer for a reasonable price ($25 each), so you might try calling around.
