I envy hearing prices here, because our prices our always so much higher. Today i got the msrp at a dealer I bought a machine from already. This is for the Babylock Enlighten serger $3499.

I was even floored knowing how high our prices usually are.

Is this as bad as I think?

This is for the ENLIGHTEN not the EVOLUTION? Cause that is MSRP I believe for the Evolution--but crazy high and you should be able to get it for less than that. In CA (San Fran area) got the Evolution for $2500--not MSRP.

I can't imagine the Enlighten being that high! Seems crazy to me--but I'm guessing they don't actually charge the MSRP, do they?

No kidding, the Enlighten not Evolution.

It is " the store" msrp. It is a little deceiving. It must be how they do well with their trade up policy, which is having your purchase price applied to their full msrp on the new machine

I went with their trade up deal when my first pfaff was faulty, and at that time I moved up a level of machine. This machine is so so, and since I love babylock products, I thought I could trade for a serger and be done traveling 30 miles to the dealer so often. But at this price, it wouldn't be worth it.

I bought the Evolution for $2699 a few months ago.
If you are willing to buy from an out of state retailer and can send me a private message, I may be able to help you.

I fell in love with the Babylock Sergers. Prices here were Evolution $3999.99, Enlighten $3499.99 and the Imagine $2,999.99. I have a Pfaff 4874 with 10 threads and did not want to do that again so I decided on the Imagine. Did everything I wanted. Purchased on Ebay for $1,289.00. I am a very happy camper!!!! Try Ebay!

A ha, so that must be the high end range of Babylock's dealer pricing on these! Thx

Ebay sounds good.

I bought a BabyLock Evolution last year and paid $2400. I think there was a price increase right after I bought it, but $1000 seems really steep...

I know my Dealer is really high, but she is the only Babylock Dealer that is close to where I live. I found some on line that were giving $1600 off if you purchase from them, However, Babylock Dealer are not allowed to ship and can only sell to customer that come to their stores. Bummer! This gives their Dealers the ability to sell at higher prices than the MSRP!
