I just realized that I don't remember how to do a flat-felled seam and don't own a good sewing manual.
Do you have one that you love?

I like Vogue sewing. It's a general sewing reference book and my first go to. I also occasionally use Professional Sewing Techniques for Designers. It's nicely illustrated but the techniques are sometimes too involved.

I have Vogue sewing, but I prefer the Reader's Digest sewing book. I have the newest version and the original from the 70's. You can usually find the old one in thrift stores. It has some good things in it, like an easy way to line a sleeveless dress.
I also like the Singer sewing book, Sewing Essentials for it's gorgeous photos. It shows several ways to do a flat fell seam.

The Reader's digest book. I have Vogue sewing and it's a fine book, but I think the Reader's Digest covers more.

I have alot of sewing books, but not the Vogue already mentioned. Out of what I have, I think the Singer Complete Photo Guide to Sewing is a really good book. The book is thick and as the title says, there are many photos about all the techniques. It includes some info on serging too.

I have the Reader's Digest Complete Guide to Sewing on my shelf -- it's my go-to book when I'm looking for a technique refresher. I find it's great for all kinds of general sewing information and techniques.
