Today I need to have a little fun.

I thought we could share our "if only we could do this" ideas, zany or not ,that would go a long way to eliminate those pesky little annoying problems we encounter.

Does anyone else have a wish like this?

We have a relative who keeps sending out emails to the family that just cause hard feelings and annimosity. She knows, she just doesn't care. I have her emails go right to delete but we still see everyone else's reply.

So....I wish her computer could be rigged so that when she attempts to hit submit with our name included on the distrubution list, these ear peircing sirens would go off, this loud voice would boom out "Step away from your keyboard", and her computer would just destroy the message. A puff of smoke would be a nice touch.

The peice de resistance would be her computer capturing on video her reaction and the look on her face while this happened and send that out instead.

Science fiction can be a very a good thing!

What do you wish for??

I'm actually a big fan, in theory, of the Death Ray. Granted, it is a tad extreme, and I'd settle for this power:

Elona:

Thank you !!! I will be laughing all day over that. Exactly what what I needed.

Quilting wolf - No kidding!!

I would like Claudia Schifer's 25 year old body. That way I would be MUCH taller and blonde. But I would accept Halle Barry's body in NYM too.

I would like to go back and tell my 19 year old self to go find DH then. I would have liked to had even more time with him than I have had.

Jane, you really made me laugh with that visual.

What I would like is one of those time jiggery-thingies that Hermione had in one of the Harry Potter books which lets her be in two places at one time.

I don't want to be in two places, but I could surely use the extra time- between the books I must read (yes, I have to read or I will stop breathing) and the quilting and needlework I really, really, really want to get done, I need more time. Also, it would be nice to have extra time for some actual chore(s).

Overall, I'm pretty content with my life. Problems and all.

I could wish my grandmother wasn't evil, but then I would have missed out on my aunt that replaced her. I could wish my siblings didn't suck, but then I wouldn't appreciate the people I do have. Even DH going to Desert Storm made him the man he is right now, and it's a man I love and am proud of. All of these are things that shaped us, and in some ways not for the better.

But, I wish my buttons would not be stuck in customs every. single. time. My name is weird. It's ALWAYS buttons. Come on. Let me have them!

Me too! I'd like to have gotten my now boyfriend to ask me out when we knew each other 25 years ago! Who woulda thunk the perfect guy for me grew up 1/4 mile from me.

A tube system between my house and the kids' school. You know, like banks have in the drive up. Tube the kids. They forgot their lunches? Tube 'em. Forgot their book, homework, permission slip? Tube 'em. Sick? Tube 'em home. I accept having to drive to work, etc, but somehow going back and forth to school irks me.

Ooo, also surveillance and that ominous voice to make sure they brush their teeth, flush the toilet, pick up plates and trash, etc when I'm not home. If they ignore the voice, especially for heinous offences, a little jolt.
