I am so glad that all of mine are grown. Even our baby is almost 14 months. I love cats, but I have told DH and DS that the next cat we get is going to be an adult, because kittens are a lot harder to live with than adults. ------ Barb

I have 2 indoor adult cats and 1 outdoor adopted adult stray cat and all 3 of them can really try my patience at times. The adult cats are smart, devious, calculating critters, when they do things to irritate me, they have obviously thought the plan through and done whatever just because they are amused at my disapproval. At least a kitten bouncing around for the most part is cuter than it is a pain in the rear end.

Smart, devious, calculating, purposely weird, you bet. And they egg each other on. DH and I think they have meetings when we are asleep and assign times so they keep us going. I don't, in a general way, mind that though, as I am smart, devious, calculating and purposely weird myself. Kittens are reckless, don't know the rules, and are irritating not on purpose. Although, to be fair, we recently had a kitten who was never annoying or irritating, and she has grown up to be an absolute darling who is not annoying or irritating as an adult, either, but always cheerful and sweet and friendly.
