Date: 5/29/12 12:17 PM I'm about to give up and do things "my way!" As so often happens when I sew from Burda mag.
This is a ridiculously easy pattern but I am already confused about their in seam pockets. I thought I knew how to do simple in seam pockets, but now I am not so sure. Maybe their directions are really genius, and I am about to miss out on a great technique because I just cannot figure them out. I don't think anyone has attempted these yet, but I thought it was worth asking before I go "off road." |

Most in seam pockets are constructed the same way. Can you give more information about the instructions- what is confusing? Maybe myself or someone here could help.

Date: 6/3/12 6:33 PM Thanks Syndi! I got impatient and pressed ahead. I did them the way you would do normal in seam pockets. It was a little odd because the pocket pieces were shaped to go all the way to the centre seam. It all seemed to work out, except that they are a bit to small! That's nothing to do with pocket construction though, lol. That's to do with vanity, and not wanting to go up a size. |

Date: 6/3/12 6:44 PM I have had a look at the pattern and the main difference I can see between this one and others I have done is that they have a large and small pocket piece for each pocket. Did you get them traced and cut successfully?
Then I find that pinning and basting following the steps one by one sometimes works. Probably not much help, but I find taking it one step at a time works for me?
Is there a particular part of the instruction giving you grief? ------ Sue (Toowoomba Qld)
Love to sew....
