If anyone on here is thinking about moving to this area, please for the love of God think twice. I have lived in this area on and off most of my life. This is not the first time this has happened to me and it will not be the last.....

If you know nothing about this area, please google it. This is the heart of the Emerald Triangle for California and Nation wide. Emerald being marijuana.

Today, Ty (my boyfriend) goes out to mow the lawn at the back of the house. While he is mowing, he notice a rather large pile of green stuff at our back fence line. As he comes up on it, can you guess what it was??? Yep, some idiot is harvesting around here and is dumping all the clippings in my backyard!! You know, I would be much more happier if it was quality. At least I could make a buck or two off of it (just kidding!!)!!! This has been going on for a couple of months. Every 2 weeks, there is a pile there. Knowing our luck, one of these times, the cops are going to be going down our alley way and spot/smell this pile. This will be an interesting situation to explain to them and our landlords!!!

I thought I would share and vent some frusteration! I know I live in the heart of this; but, come on!!!

Sorry for your troubles. Lately, we've had some disturbing happenings in our neighborhood, considered one of the safest one in town, so I can imagine how anxious you're feeling.

Have you considered moving elsewhere?

It seems to be getting rougher and stranger everywhere..

First though.. dumping is illegal.. may even be a bigger fine than marijuana use is in this day and age.. They just changed the sign in our park to a 2000 dollar fine.. where it use to be 500 for dumping.. not that that will stop anyone.. as they have not put up cameras etc to catch them..

So.. make a formal complaint at the local police station.. then put up a nannycam. I am guessing its a neighbor who has a short walk to your back fence.

I don't know if I would report it to the local police station in Humbolt County. It may be someone's brother in law. Maybe the state of California. The nanny cam is a good idea too.

Thank you everyone for letting me vent.

Boyfriend is putting up a sign that says: Smile you are on Camera!

As for dumping, we have done that and the cops just say: Throw it away! They only come if you are bleeding.

As for moving: YES!! We only have 2 more years and we are out of here!!! Ames, Iowa, here we come!!! So, boyfriend can finish his engineering degree!! From there we are on God's good humor! But, until then we are stuck! Just waiting for DD to graduate Junior College and go to university out of the country. It might come sooner rather than later, sadly. Due to the college, only junior in this county, might be loosing it's certification at the end of the year!!! We shall wait and see!!!

I'm in Northern Cal, too. In Fairfax, someone planted it in front of the police station!!

''They only come if you are bleeding. ''

Really. cause if you are here.. and you are bleeding they would only tell you to call an ambulance. They take down the police report.. if any.. at the hospital.
