On my wife's pant leg, the blind hem is coming apart. I have been working on this, but cant seem to sew it without some thread showing. I have a blind foot. The pant leg is black. Thanks

I always have better results when I use my zig zag foot rather than my blind hem foot. I seem to be able to keep it all in line better that way.

Using my zig zag foot, I line up the fold of the fabric so the needle is just hitting one thread or so of the pants leg fabric when it zig sags over. Takes a little adjusting, but once its right, I just go slow to keep the needle from taking too big of a bite into the pants leg.

Another trick I always do is really loosen off my top tension. I've found that, if you take too much of a 'bite' the looser tension will allow you the press the stitch flat without it actually puckering the fabric so much where it shows through. If it's a good blend of colour you won't hardly notice the bigger stitch at all

I get a really nice hem with my Blind stitch foot when I use a Microtex Sharp Needle 70/10. I love this hem and it looks great, plus it is so easy.

Thanks for the replys. I tried it again and it looks like it held. It is easy to do the stitch but hard to repair.
