Date: 6/9/12 3:04 PM I am making Vogue 8515 The French darts are quite pointy. simply shortening them just results in me having little nips on the side of my bust. not much more flattering. Has anyone had luck making a curved french dart to make it lie better? Any tutorials or links you would recommend? Thanks.

Date: 6/9/12 3:18 PM Not familiar with French darts, but when I make a plain bust dart on a shirt for myself, I always taper the dart out to nothing with a slight curved shape, instead of using the dead-straight line of a ruler.
My darts lay down much nicer that way and don't have that little pucker at the end that you sometimes see on darts.
And then I steam it thoroughly. |
