Back in the day, I didn't watch much TV - still don't. But one night in my dorm room, this show came on and I watched and was hooked. Of course it *jumped the shark* when Bobby's death was only a dream. So stupid.
But, I just have to watch Dallas 2.0 tonight! I hope they got some good writers.

I loved the show back in its heyday. My sons would watch the Dukes of Hazard and then we'd watch Dallas. Too much fun and I always served appetizers too. We called it a Dallas Party.
Don't know if I can tune in again and look at Larry Hagman's eyebrows for a whole hour!

I plan to watch it. I'll take the Ewings (even the matured ones) over the Kardashians any day. I miss those evenings when I actually looked forward to watching television. Now the evolution of television has regressed. Today's reality TV takes not just a back seat, but a closed trunk to prime-time soaps.

Never watched it. Can't stand Hagman. Even though his mother was Peter Pan!

I'll most likely give it a chance. I watched it years ago also.

The reality shows from Lizard Lick Towing to the Karashians=junk TV. It is sort of sad also that new shows end up on cable, network shows are junky during the summer for the most part.

Might try the new Dallas, only watched here and there the first time around.

I watched, and yes, I enjoyed! Many twists to all the double crossing, which will prove interesting as the plot develops. The only thing I hated was John Ross' character. Though JR was a total scoundrel, there was something about him that didn't make you totally despise him.
At least JR had (and still has) that devious smile that you could laugh at. John Ross is just a bundle of angry, spoiled, selfish, rotten-person, lol. I don't think his character cracked a smile once the whole two hours.

In case you didn't hear it. we had bad hail storms here last night.. I totally missed it.. Might try to catch it on the net somewhere. I will watch it a time or two.. its not like there is anything on the other channels any better..
I am sure.. like most shows.. it may take some getting use to any character changes and so on.. but I am game for it.. Hope we do enjoy it.. But not too much.. as seems ALL the shows I love always get cancelled.

Southern Stitch, that's the way I felt about John Ross too. Didn't Sue Ellen look great for her age!

So John Ross is a JR Mini-me? How awful for Bobby's family! LOL

I watched the old show some. Too bad cable has taken over and now people without cable will be cut off.
