Date: 6/13/12 12:05 PM I don't know if this is the right topic on message board to post this, but I have ordered parts for my sewing machine from this very professional looking site and while my account was charged I have yet to receive the merchandise I ordered three weeks ago and have been unable to contact anyone via phone or email listings. I don't think I can cancel payment as it has already been charged to my account. I am just putting a warning out there. Bernie |

When your bill comes with the charges, pay everything except the amount in dispute, then write the letter, following the instructions. I just did this with sewingpatterns.com.
In the retail world it's called a chargeback. If a company gets too many chargebacks, the credit card company will cancel their account.------ My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since. |

Date: 6/13/12 1:17 PM There are at least four bad online reviews that say the same thing about this entity. Plus the BBB page:

Date: 6/13/12 1:50 PM Thanks Sherril for the information - I will do that and thanks everyone else for commenting. This is a real drag, but I hope my post will keep someone else from trying to purchase from them.

Date: 6/13/12 2:03 PM I can see where you could easily think it is a good site - it is well made and has the right "ambiance." How DOES a person get away with this sort of practice? And how much could whoever be making from this?! It's not like stealing precious gems. Good grief - I am so sorry this happened. ------ "Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible."

Date: 6/13/12 2:18 PM Yes, I don't know how a person can get away with this either. Lesson learned. From now on I will research any site I deal with online to make sure I can contact a real live person. Bernie |
