As I was cutting out a dress the other day I said to myself - ya know, if the pattern companies would just add the sloper that they use to begin the pattern to the actual pattern you are purchasing - it certainly would HELP with the fitting issues. I plan on emailing the big 4, maybe Threads too, etc., to get this idea out there. Also - while I'm thinking about it - I would think that the pattern companies would see that PR is doing them a service by basically rating their patterns - don't you think the pattern companies would catch on to that?? Of course, that would be up to the management...

Just use the fitting shell patterns. There are several from BMV; not sure if Simplicity offers any.
