I like this Quick lining method from Threads, but I run into a snag when I'm working with a dress with a wrap front bodice. At the moment I'm planning Simplicity 1880 with the wrap front and cap sleeve options, but I recently made another dress with the cross over bodice. That time I attached the bodice to the bodice lining and then added the skirt and skirt lining stitching part by machine and part by hand. Attaching the skirt lining got awkward at the center front where the pieces overlapped and at the back zip so I wasn't 100% happy with it, even though the awkward parts are only noticeable on the inside. I know I'm being fussy, but the perfectionist in me keeps trying to puzzle out the best way to neatly line the dress. Any thoughts?

I have not used this method but on my wraps I line and fit the bodice (I usually need to align the wrap front on me. Sew the skirt on and finish the seam (the seam will be pressed toward the skirt. Sew in the Zipper. Then sew on the lining as close to the zipper as you can get. You will have to hand sew the lining at the waist and around the zipper.
