Date: 6/15/12 11:54 AM I have bought occasional Groupon deals for restaurants, haircuts and oil changes and never had any complaints. The company also offers getaway deals. The newest e-lert in my mailbox advertises stays in various hotels at very reduced rates. These are not time-share offers, just deep discounts as far as I can tell. Has anybody bought any of these getaway deals and what have been your experiences with them?

Date: 6/15/12 3:37 PM I have friends that use groupon hotel deals as well as the restaurants etc all the time. To my knowledge they have never had a problem with them. Its just a way of advertising for the hotel....offering a lower rate through groupon to get you in the door type of thing. Do pay attention to the terms of the coupon deal such as check in dates, black out dates etc. Also you may be required to pay room taxes or resort fees etc. when you check in...that should also be printed on the deal before you buy. |
