Date: 6/20/12 2:29 AM I checked my blog this morning, free wordpress one. At the bottom of the latest post was an advert, I didn't put it there. I went to home, and it had gone, so I wondered if I was dreaming. I went back to the latest post, and there was a different one there. What is this about? They're not advertisements for anything sewing related, and I didn't put them there (obviously). Is it because its a free account? ------ so many patterns, clamouring to be sewn

Date: 6/20/12 3:06 AM It could be because it's a free account, but I just went to your blog and didn't see any ads at all. ------ The essence of life is statistical improbability on a colossal scale.

Date: 6/20/12 3:29 AM On free accounts wordpress will occasionally show advertisments. It is made clear in the terms and conditions. As far as I am aware only if you are not logged in you see them, though they may have changed it.
You can stop it by making the blog ad free. Not sure of the cost, I think about $15/year

Date: 6/20/12 3:50 AM Thanks for checking Nancy. I wonder why I saw ads twice - two different ones, on the same post, and you didn't. Perhaps they just randomly select a blog to put an ad on, and then move it to another. ------ so many patterns, clamouring to be sewn

Date: 6/20/12 3:52 AM Sorry to be dense Gilraen, but what does logged in mean as far as this is concerned. I thought that as I'd gone to dashboard, then the post, I must be logged in? ------ so many patterns, clamouring to be sewn
