Sorry if this has been posted before, I may have missed it.
This is a pic of a very interesting attachment for the featherweights. Does anyone have one of these?? I thought it was very cool and would share my find.

I've never seen anything like this before. Where did you find it?

April 1930's has a lovely website where many featherweight attachments are available. The two thread embroidery attachment is very rare indeed, never seen one.

It's not specifically for Featherweights. It works well on any low shank straight stitcher.

On some discussion board (possibly on PR?), I read a posting from someone who had actually used one of these.

It apparently does work as advertised, but it is very noisy. If you look at April1930s entire photo stream, you can see that the foot seems to swing left and right as it crosses the two threads and stitches them down. It's actually rather clever.

I suspect those arms holding the two threads may move also. (Upon reexamining April1930s photos, yes, indeed, those arms do move.) Probably, you need to sew slowly -- or at least, not go at it like a speed demon. The person who wrote about using it said that there were a lot of clanking noises involved, but it worked just fine. Per the photos, it does produce a nice line of multi-thread embroidery.

There's one for sale right now on Etsy for $650, marked down from $850. I won't be adding one to my collection at that price range.

WOW $650.00?? It was interesting to see and I would love to try one, but that's rediculous!!
I wonder if LynnRowe has one of these?? If she doesn't, I'll bet she'd love to have one for her collection.

You've opened up a new world of ridiculously fabulously expensive gadgets. I love some of these feet and sets of feet.

My fantasy is to find a penguin walking foot:) But I've already been lucky, not too long ago I got a FW with a Style-O-Matic foot in the box, so I'm not complaining:)
