Date: 6/20/12 7:52 PM I love the DirectTV commercials (NAYY) This one is my favorite Stop taking in Stray Animals
This is sooo me! Yes, we have cable not satellite tv. Ummmm...we also have our share of stray animals! The 2 inside cats are adopted from the pound...kittens of a stray no doubt. Our outside cat was a stray that had kittens in our yard and now she lives on our patio. Outside cat now has not one but two stray friends that come around every night between 7:30 and 8 pm for their dinner. Yes, when I see them I bring them food....can't have hungry kitty friends hanging out!
Guess I need to get rid of cable tv so that I can quit spending more and more on cat food for the strays! |

Date: 6/20/12 8:24 PM You are so right, this is NOT cute at all. There is another one on ION showing some kid with a magnet that he catches a cat with. It is cruel and heartless,as he drops the cat to the ground like a flea.
Stop paying Direct TV and take in stray animals with the money...that's it!!!!!
I would not go to Direct TV just from that ad. I have Dish and will not switch.
Optimum is just plain obnoxious, not cruel. ------ "The problem is not that there are problems. The problem is expecting otherwise and thinking that having problems is a problem." Theodore Rubin

Date: 6/20/12 8:39 PM Just make sure they don't have the plague..
Guy Who Got the Plague From a Stray Cat
(And it's really weird that they're treating people he came into contact with, given that the systemic plague isn't actually transmissible person-to-person... unless he was like going around biting people or something.) -- Edited on 6/20/12 8:41 PM -- ------ My (overly complicated) blog: http://maggiedoll.com/ |

Date: 6/20/12 11:37 PM Plague exists in Southern California in parts of the national forest. They shut it down when plague is out and about. So I guess it only occurs seasonally. I wouldn't worry about it a whole lot. Just don't play with stray squirrels in the forest.
I heard about the guy who got plague from the stray cat. He was apparently rescuing a mouse from the cat. -- Edited on 6/20/12 11:37 PM -- ------ Marilyn

Date: 6/21/12 1:56 AM mastdenman, in the middle ages plague circulated on rodents- cats were wrongly blamed historically, so I would be more likely to blame the mouse than the cat! ------ Quilting up a storm
