Date: 6/23/12 3:23 AM I hope I'm posting this under the correct topic.
So I'll be home for the summer-lots of time to sew and read some of the dozens of project books I have. And I was hoping to catch some sewing shows on TV, but can't find any on the public stations in the Long Island area. (Doesn't mean they're not availabe- just that I can't find them!) Please point me in the right direction. |

Date: 6/24/12 9:56 AM Thank you...I can't find anything on NY PBS stations, but the link to stations that do have some shows is helpful. |

Date: 6/24/12 3:33 PM Nancy Zieman is the one I would have suggested. the entire show is on there.
I get suggestions from her on every show, it is so convenient to watch when you want, she comes on at 6 am here, I am busy at that time.
Have fun ------ My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog thinks I am. |

Date: 6/24/12 5:43 PM You can also watch videos on the Threads magazine website. Some videos are free, others you have to be an Insider member.
Also, Sewing with Nancy videos appear on Sewing with Nancy TV .
Peggy Sagers of Silhouette patterns has some videos on her website also Silhouette website.
Also some of the episodes of 'It's Sew Easy' are online.
YouTube has a lot of sewing videos.
So, even without regular scheduling, with a computer or iPad or Android tablet, there a lot of free videos to watch.

Date: 6/28/12 11:46 AM I don't know what cable/satellite company you have, but I found out that since they've gone to broadcasting in HD, there are four or five local PBS stations available over the air, but only one through DirecTv- and the good shows are not on the DirecTv PBS station. |

Date: 6/29/12 5:56 AM Thank you-I thought I was losing it. I have Fios, and although the PBS website says one of the NJ stations has a show on at 6am (and I do get up early) all I find is yoga-and I have to be very ambitious to try yoga at 6. I'll keep hunting, and if I get bored enough, i'll call the station and complain |

Date: 6/29/12 1:09 PM I record whatever I can find on PBS and CREATE and watch later.
Sewing with Nancy will give you a peek and then offer to sell you the book.
There are others, but you have to join (pay a fee) and then view online. Sandra Betzina is one.
Here are some more via Youtube.

Date: 6/30/12 2:03 PM Thank you all- I found some things on Create TV through PBS (what a roundabout way to find it). And all the Youtube connections are great, too. I am feeling SEW much happier now. |
