OK, since it is the opinion of the forum at large that the best way to learn is to make qwik sew patterns, and since there is currently a rare sale of them for only a few dollars each, I would like to start a beginner's sew along using only qwik sew patterns.

Of course, I don't know how to lead* a sew along, so any help would be appreciated.

Anyone in? We'll figure this out together.

OH! LOL. OK

But let's see if there's any interest here first..... As a beginner, I wouldn't have even known about that area except for the "active topics" function.

There are people here on PR who are Sew-Along Surfers, meaning they search the Sew Along boards until they find something they like and can do. I caved in on the Panty Sewalong a while back, as well as the Use up Your Stash (or whatever that was called). So if you post your Sew Along on the Sew Along board, you might get more responses.

The other thing I'm curious about is your reference to Qwik Sew. Are you talking about Kwik Sew (brand) patterns? Or a method of sewing, such as Quick Sew? If you're talking about patterns, and I know people do searches using certain terms (I like to use my examples because I'm sure of what I do--even at my age, that can be tricky..), so you might want to clarify.

Ayup.

I think I was mentally shuffling between Qwest and Kwik Sew. We apparently take great liberties with spelling, here in Minnesota... (these companies were both born here. I think.)

Well, now that we have the bugs worked out, I suppose I could post it in the sew alongs, but I've very very hesitant. I have never DONE a sew-along, because I've been sewing for less than 6 months and that's been the rule on the ones I've seen. So I'll probably confuse everyone if I try.

I was just trying to lure out some of the other beginners who may have taken advantage of the sale.

No sew-along police allowed on this board...so go post and have a whole lotta fun!
