Hi, folks.
I don't think I am putting photos to their best use in my sewing. I would like to be able to take a pic and then draw on it with my stylus pen, maybe outlining a problem area or drawing an arrow to a seam pucker. I want to be able to add text, too. Even better, I would live to be able to put more than one pic into a frame, perhaps a before and after shot. Like this! Here
Oh, and of course, I hope to find something that works with Flickr so I can easily use it all for help from everyone on PR!

So, any suggestions for what app I should be using?

How about Paint that you use with Windows? But, if you want to do something on the iPad, Photo Editor + might be what you're looking for

I have Stitched on my Ipad. I haven't used it for this application- thanks for putting the idea in my head though! You could always bring it into something like Skitch to add arrows and text. (that works- I just tried it!)
I also have Sketchbook Pro. I have a croquis that I made and saved as a photo, and use it as a template to draw on. Not quite like a real sketchpad, but fun!

Thanks, everyone!
I ended up going with two apps. Photo Editor+ and a type of collage app, Frame Magic. I started with Photo Edotor lite but it upgraded me to deluxe when I tried to use the stickers. I just wanted the arrow sticker, really, but it was 2 bucks so what the heck. FrameMagic was free but only allowed me access to four frame designs or so and none of them allowed my to use five pics which is what I wanted to do first. So, I also ended up with the FrameMagic 2 dollar upgrade.

I've had a a little time to play around with the apps and I think together they will do just what I am looking for with my pics. So far I've learned that Photo Editor lets me draw an arrow or use a sticker while FrameMagic does not. FrameMagic has a much more user-friendly text utility, allowing you to change font, return to a new line, and edit your text after you've applied it. Photo Editor does not.

I hope to get to know both programs as well as I can and use them often. I managed to to an awful lot while minding my two boys, which says a lot for each!

I've been using Skitch and Evernote for this very purpose. Love Skitch! I took all my notes at the Martha Pullen Show on my iPad with those two apps. With Skitch, you can even take a photo while in Skitch. Interestingly, through out the three day event, I never saw another person using a tablet for note taking. Several folks did comment on my activity, "gosh, why didn't I think of that?" or "what app are you using?". You can merge Skitch output with Evernote notes, and you can merge those notes. I use the Evernote web clipper to save tutorials, wish list patterns, and much more. Evernote just acquired Penultimate, another free app for handwriting. It's all super good stuff!
P.s. Skitch just launched a website similar to Flickr.

I actually downloaded Skitch first, but I was frustrated when I couldn't edit text format. I played around with a few pictures and the big pink writing didn't always fit where I needed it to. Perhaps I was missing a feature?
Otherwise, you are right that it had most of what I was looking for.

Here is my test run with Skitch
