Interlock knit from Fabric.com

I'm searching for something affordable to use as muslin for a test garment. I need to find ITY and I'm not sure this is it!

If it is, it's kind of a cute print don't you think?

Denver Fabrics seems to have a lot too ... has anyone had experience with this company and/or this fabric?

I want the good stuff but first I need to sew a test garment!

Mary,
fabric.com and fabricmartfabrics.com both have ITY and both are having sales. Put ITY in the search box on both sites and you will come up with what you are looking for. I have gotten some very nice pieces at fabricmartfabrics.com. Hope that helps. I'm on my iPad or I'd link for you.

ITY is a polyester knit. The Cotton interlock you linked to is entirely different. It has far less recovery, for one thing, and is generally less stretchy.

I am going for a level of perfection that is only mine... Most of the pleasure is in getting that last little piece perfect...Inspiration is for amateurs. The rest of us just keep showing up and doing the work.

ITY you want is poly/Lycra. The ITY is a type of weave, more open than a plain weave, which allows better air flow. This makes the poly more "breathable", so you won't feel like you're wearing a sauna.

ITY = "Interlock Twist Yarn". Quality ITY is easy to sew, won't pill, resists wrinkles, great drape, stretch and recovery, and machine washable.
