Oh Pfaff 7570! If lovin' you is wrong, I don't wanna be right

I don't know why I'm so crazy about it when I have so many other really nice machines. I like them all very much but with this one, well even when I haven't had time to sew, I've found myself popping in to just sew a few lines of stitching on a scrap of fabric! I've lost my marblesI'm doing a quilt project and today I sewed some lightweight squiggly jersey- that IDT is the bomb! I was wondering if anyone else still uses one of these machines or if they have all been put out to pasture! ------ Viking D1, 1+, Pfaff 7570, Singer 503 Rocketeer, 66, 15-91, Featherweight 5 Flock, Babylock Enlighten & Coverstitch and Pfaff Creative Performance

I love my 2140 but I really wish I had kept the 7570 too! It had the best stitch quality of any machine I've ever had, 3 Berninas included! Enjoy your new machine! I have a 7530 that I adore and is my go to machine... and I too have several other nice sewing machines... just something about that Pfaff... and it is so quiet. Reliable, easy to maneuver through stitches and the even feed of fabric is a life saver. Fabulous machine, superb stitching, and it's funny how "current" the machine actually is. I compared the stitches on my 7570 to my Babylock Espire/Symphony, and they're pretty much the same. And nothing beats Pfaff's IDT! Congrats on snagging such a wonderful machine, enjoy! PS: sewing knits with the IDT is super easy. ------ I heart Panzy, Pfaff Creative Performance, the sewing machine love of my life! And Rupert (Pfaff 2023), Baby (BL Enlighten), Victor (BLCS), Ash (Bernina 350SE), Pal (Bernina 530), Kee (Bernina 750) and the Featherteen Flock! Most of all, I heart Woo (HimmyCat). The operating system, IDT, embroidery cards and hoops are so easy to use, and the number of built in stitches and monograms is amazing. The ladies on the old Pfaff-Talk site were in love with this machine and kindly shared their expertise. Nancy Zieman even had a signature edition 7570? Did you get the two big purple binders “Owners Handbook,” as well as the two instruction manuals? Although dated, the 1996 Pfaff How-To video volume I and volume II with Philip Pepper and Linnette Whicker are good visual aids. I’ve got them on dvd so I can pop it in when I need a quick refresher course. It was love at first sight for me. I saw it in a sewing room photo someone had posted... so pretty. Yep, I love mine, too.

I just got one manual with it, my machine didn't come with the embroidery unit. I don't mind though, I really wanted it for sewing anyway. I could buy the embroidery unit for it but I wonder if it would be difficult to find the cards now. Even though I have moved on in the Pfaff line (I have a Creative Vision) I don't think I would ever get rid of my 7570. It is a wonderful machine. ------ Kemish

I chose the Viking 1+ for the embroidery capabilites and the wonderful stitching quality the machine has. Although I don't do a lot of embroidery, I'm a garment sewer and love this machine. Even with all the new Vikings out there, I still haven't been convinced I need a new one. My machine may not have the covetted IDT, but I install a walking foot whenever it's needed. I truly understand having a great machine you really appreciate. ------ Judy
