I think this sounds like a great idea. I have heard of sewing pillow cases for children with Cancer and sewing Christmas stockings for families who lost everything in the Jolon tornado a year or so ago. It would be great to have a place where this information could be posted or found.

You could start a thread in a related board (creative sewing maybe?). Then you can see if the thread stays busy enough over a few months to become its own board.
