After wearing my muslin and before I make another I want to raise the v neck. I thought about just pulling it up a bit at the front shoulder seam and there also at the facing. I also thought about making a slash towards the armhole midway and overlapping a bit perhaps a couple of times and redrawing the neckline or a combination of both to avoid distortion. I figure if a 1/2 inch comes out of each side that would be about right. I tried raising at the point of the v but the neckline changes a bit in shape before the v and I thought that looked funny. I got a photo in the petite plus sew along thread of my muslin. I know it looks ok but it is a bit much for me being old school. I already removed some at the shoulders so think I need to get the extra out in the neckline area. I don't know much about rotating darts so will slashing to the armhole and overlapping cause difficulty. I am close to a tnt with this and want the neckline higher.

You might email Kathleen at Petite Plus and ask her the best way to riase the neckline. I have emailed and called and she was extremely helpful.

I did but didn't get a response. Perhaps it got overlooked. Maybe I'll email again. She has some fitting info online and in the book but I didn't see anything about the neckline adjustment. The lower neckline was something I wasn't anticipating having to work on with these patterns.
I guess I'll just have to experiment with a partial muslin of the neck area but was hoping I was past that point with this shirt and on to a master pattern. Guess not.

I think I found my solution in a Better Homes book called Pattern adjustments just now and thought I'd share it. It says to slash at a downward angle to armhole but not through below the neck area and overlap when the full bust that has lowered with age and sloping shoulders causes issues in the neck and some bunching under the arm with the excess fabric there which I saw a teeny bit of in the photo that is in the Petite plus sew a long. I think I will need to add the length that I slash out so the front won't hike shorter. I may try to just add it back at the lower center front so the hem will still be level and I won't have side seam matching issues. Maybe I could just slash again and add it back lower in the front to get the bust cup length I would have removed up higher. It's always a big jig saw puzzle with petite alterations as one gets older and gravity takes its toll sending everything south. Oh well.

Never listen to me. The slash goes not downward to the armhole but from below the neck to the outer corner of the shoulder point in the diagram. I just got so excited to find something that addressed the problem of full bust lowered and sloping shoulders.
