Date: 7/8/12 3:18 PM I am thinking of buying a Juki F600. Is this a reliable machine? The nearest dealer is about 90 miles away and I will not be inclined to travel there often. I've read about tension problems (fixable through correct threading?). Are there any others with this machine?
Thanks |

Date: 7/8/12 3:53 PM This is a sewing machine question; you posted in the quilting threads so I think you would get more response if posted in the sewing machine section of the board. Have you searched the threads on here? Just do a search and you will find a bunch of posts devoted to the F600. It is becoming very popular. Since you posted in the quilting thread-do you want to quilt on it? Just wondered.
You are fortunate to have a dealer that close-many of the posters I have seen have ordered it online. |

Date: 7/8/12 3:59 PM yes, I am mostly interested in quilting, but also do garment sewing. Thanks for pointing me to the other board for sewing machines. |

Date: 7/8/12 4:33 PM If you want to quilt, be aware that it has a horizontal bobbin, I do not like it for free motion work.
I prefer a vertical bobbin for free motion work, although I have a Juki F600, I use a Bernina 550 for my free motion work. ------ Clare
