I have a Brother 'Duetta'. I have an embroidery design on a CD that I'm trying to load on my laptop. Then I'm trying to get this to go through to my Duetta. I don't know what I'm doing. Could some kind soul list the steps to do this? Thank you!

If this is the 4500D, then you have USB connectivity.

Plug the cable into the machine and the computer. Or, if you have an USB stick drive, plug that into the computer.

A new drive should appear. This is the drive that you want to send your design to.

Insert the cd. Select the design and then send to.

This should be in the manual for your machine.

Hello .......
What 'cable' do you plug into machine/computer? This is what I'm not sure of.

If the USB stick is used, will my design still be downloaded on my sewing machine?

I feel really silly asking these questions; but that's the only way I'll learn how to do this.

Thank you for your quick reply!

You should have a cable that looks like this:
Brother cable
The design will load after you press the correct button on the screen. I can't find a picture of it. On the bottom of the embroidery home screen next to the pocket icon, is the icon to download from USB. Next to that is the icon to download from the computer. In my manual for the 4000D the description is on page 170.
