My Ellegante has a new wrinkle. The line appears in both embroider and sewing modes. I can power it off for a few minutes and the line disappears...for awhile. Obviously a trip to the dealer is in order. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what the solution was. I'm seeing $$$$.

It sounds like a new screen to me too. Do you have it hooked up to a good surge suppressor, just to be sure it's not glitches with the electric that cause it?

hmmm...we've had a few thunderstorms here recently. Regardless of the outcome on this issue, your suggestion motivates me to get a dedicated surge protector for my machine. Thanks a bunch!

I read on www.fixya.com that the line can sometimes be caused by a loose cable that connects the screen to the motherboard. Wouldn't it be great if that's all it is?

My first thought was a loose connection. Has the machine been moved lately?
