I die, I just die I LOVE Hello Kitty and have always wanted some Liberty of London fabric. It is the perfect marriage. The interesting thing is that it looks quite elegant. You sort of have to look for the Hello Kitty in the fabric. My favorite piece is this one:

Do you think it would be okay to make an adult dress out of this fabric? I am thinking of making V1161 with it. It calls for lightweight fabric and only 2 yards.

I am thinking this fabric with lining of course would be a fabulous birtuday present for my August birthday.
Am I completely off my rocker?

Date: 7/11/12 12:10 PM Oh, my dear, you are SO NOT NUTS! It's absolutely wonderful! Kitty is cleverly hidden and from afar it evokes Hermes scarves for me.
Gor-jus! What's it cost? It can't be cheap!
Happy Kitty Sew-er!

Date: 7/11/12 12:20 PM Just took a look. Garsh, $33 a yard ain't cheap. But it IS a generous 54" wide.
It's wonderful. And, yes, that's the best of all the patterns, and your orange/pink choice is also the best colorway -- better than the teal/green colorway and the peach/purple colorway. A strong, wide solid red sash, tied in a relaxed, drapey way, with some kind of gold fastener (like a silly big Hello Kitty rhinestone pin) could be a nice option.
Hey, shaw-ty, it's ya birt-day -- you will be giddy inside EVERY TIME YOU WEAR THAT THANG!
Where do you live? I'm just figguring that if I treat myself for MY birthday, I wanna make sure we're not in the same elevator at the same time...

Happy Birthday!!!!
edited to add: Show me a dress anywhere that cute for the price you'll pay for the fabric and lining. I doubt if it's out there. -- Edited on 7/11/12 2:38 PM -- ------ Mary
