Date: 7/11/12 10:01 PM I lost my pattern layout sheet and need help. I have a pair of slacks with stripes. I cannot for the life of me remember how to layout pants to cut out when there are stripes and my last two attempts yielded pants with one leg with the stripe on the inside. I suppose it is like laying out the pattern if the fabric has a nap but cannot figure out how to correct myself. Any help would be appreciated. |

Date: 7/11/12 10:44 PM The easiest and best way is a single layer cut out. What I do is put a bit of a post it on one side of each pattern piece that has to be cut twice. Lay out and cut, single layer, with the post it's on the top. When you go to cut out the second piece flip the pattern piece over so that the post it is against the fabric. No more stripes on the inside of the legs! HTH
