I found some fabric that I know my mom bought for my sister back in the early/mid 1970s. It is black fine corduroy with small flowers on it. The company name is J.P. Stevens & Co., Inc. Does old fabric have any extra value to it? I have a little over 3 yards of it. I plan on selling at my garage sale this weekend and was just trying to figure out how much to try to sell it for. I was thinking about $5 for all of it. Too much? too little?
(The fabric is in brand new shape...it hasn't even been washed).

Don't put a price tag on it...and start out at $20 for the lot when asked? Then you can bargain downwards. IMO, $5 for 3 yards is too low. Whether 1970s corduroy fabric has any extra value...probably not.

Agree. It is certainly not worth less than current fabric.

I remember this fabric and the company. If you don't sell it, I'd like to buy it. I've been wanting some pinwale black corduroy for a while now, and I'll pay the suggested price.
Edited to add: Darn! There goes that fabric fast... But it's for a good cause...Me!
