I'm sitting in the middle of my little studio apartment, with the AC humming quietly in the background, Woo (cat) asleep in his perch, Jack FM playing great soft rock tunes, my favourite tealight candles lightly scenting the room (Night Jasmine) and my sewing cabinet out and open, with machines and machine toys all around me as I sort through things in preparation for my new machine-baby's arrival.

There's a stack of knits and patterns (mostly Style Arc, nummy!) sitting on the counter waiting to be sewn up whenever I'm ready.

Im off tomorrow, work for the nicest, kindest, most generous family-owned company, and plan to stay up late and sleep in late.

And i just realized that I am thoroughly enjoying that far-too-rare feeling of utter contentment, peace and happiness.

yep...it really is the little things in life...

I heart Woo (HimmyCat). Until we meet again, my beautiful little boy. I love you.

It's happy moments like these you want to hold onto when life isn't going as well. Enjoy your break, I'm sure it's well deserved. (Are you going to spend any part of the time plotting to acquire another Featherweight? LOL)

Sometimes, I feel this way when I'm washing dishes and looking out the window to the back yard. I might get lucky and see our resident groundhog nibbling on clover by the shed. Or hear a bluejay fussing at Gracie(cat)laying on the porch. Oh and the smell of Jergens lotion...

I feel that way most when I sit out on my deck looking at the dragonflies around my pond.. Watching the birds..
I also get a kick out of walking thru my home and seeing all the pillows, drapes, chairs and such I have sewn for it..
I love being in my SR.. in fact spend most of my day inside in that room.. chock full of all sorts of toys to play with.

So this morning. I was sipping my coffee.. with my bird on my shoulder chatting away.. just feeling content myself.. until YOU mentioned that NEW machine..

Yesterday I was so happy to have my lunch outside at a restaurant. Most of the year it is so hot or too cold to eat outside.
Yesterday it was just right. I felt the sun warm my face and I thought, "This is happiness". For a few minutes I forgot about all of the "challenging" stuff in my life.

Our grandmothers have always said, you should always count your blessings, because then you realise that you are blessed beyond all expectation.

This was a lovely post, and it inspires even more loveliness. Thank you.
