Date: 7/14/12 12:15 PM While serging the side seam of a dress (Simplicity 2648) I accidentally caught the main body of the fabric and the serger knife cut the fabric. It's a long triangular tear. Do I have to throw away the dress? It's on the lower back of the dress. Is there any way it can be saved or repaired? Thanks! |

Date: 7/14/12 12:51 PM Been there, done that. Depending on the fabric you may be able to fuse interfacing to the back and do a zigzag over the top. Similar to mending a tear. |
