Me, right now? I'm in the middle of a project and my walking foot broke. I'm taking it as a sign to get my booty to the sewing store. Why? Cause at 1:30 am last night while I was working on the same project I noticed that the bra cups I was going to put in the bra of the maxi dress I'm making were ........... different sizes. So I need to run out anyway and get a matching pair.

What's up with you?

Last weekend as I was starting to slit the first of my 8 perfect buttonholes - perfectly spaced and all... I realised they were on the wrong side.Well, at least it was the bottom one and more likely to be tucked in!
So, I had the joy of unpicking them from the crepe fabric and resewing them again. The are still perfect.but one of the buttons is straddling the gap from the one I cut open.

oh, then I wore it and straight away got raspberries on it that I was blending in the food processor to add to yougurt. It is white.I think it will be one of those that is a magnet for anything to go wrong while wearing.

That sounds like something I have done a few times!
It is nice to have an extra walking foot right? Sometimes mine has taken a walk & I cannot find it!

By the way who has "borrowed" my favorite sewing scissors... whoever it is return them & no one gets hurt....

My walking foot was squeeking a bit so I , brilliantly I might add, decided to take the cover off and try and clean it and put a few drops of oil on it. I got the cover off, removed one of the side pieces and was trying to get a bit of lint/dust out of a spot and the next thing I knew it was in a million pieces in my hand! DH and I spent close to 2 hours trying to put it back together and never did get it right! I couldn't figure out where one tiny little piece was supposed to go and it was the one that propelled the foot mechanism. The pieces were so tiny it was almost impossible to try and assemble.

Luckily it was a generic from Nancy's Notions and the new one came in Friday.DH had the nerve to ask me if I was going to open it up and look at the inside!

I was piecing a quilt together and I didn't pay close enough attention so certain blocks were pieced differently. I had already just unpicked about 8 for a minor mistake when I realized I had another 8 or so that required a larger fix. Fortunately the problem blocks can still be used as is, the quilt will be in a little different motif than originally planned but it was annoying nonetheless. I stopped sewing shortly afterwards because I didn't want to continue with a muddled and irritated state of mind.

And now you have two...
So how many machines do you own?

My sewing woe is trying to make some custom underwear for a client. She gives me t-shirts and I make her bikinis. Well, this last batch had an awesome t-shirt in it, with the saying "Warning! Will explode when provoked". I'm trying my best to fit that whole saying in a "certain place", but the rest of the t-shirt is too small.

Miss Fairchild!
Today I was energetically cutting a half scale pattern to test out some more of the ideas in my new Pattern Magic book. At the same time, cooking lunch. I only had a scrap of fabric to test it on, and was thrilled to find I could just squeeze it out. Less thrilled ten minutes later when I realised I'd cut along the wrong line making the pattern.
