Facing is suggested, but wonder if bias could be used in place of it. Fabric will be challis.g

I never use armhole facings. I use bias strips. Armhole facings never stay tucked inside the blouse.

Facings are HARD! Challis would be lovely with a self-bias tape instead of a facing. Much less rumpled looking, too.

Thank you for info, but I added ready made single fold bias to one sleeve and it turned out rippley. What did I do wrong?

Without seeing a photo, I'm going to bet that the curve was too steep. One way to fix this might be to press it out with a steam iron. Let it lay still 'til it cools off and dries a little, and it should be fairly permanent.

Are the ripples in the armscye or in the binding? If in the binding, the binding is a tad too long. If in the armscye, the binding is a tad too short. Measure the binding and your armscye. The binding should be just a tad, not even 1/4", shorter than the armscye to compensate for the curve.
