Pattern Suggestions Please Something for fall/winter

Can someone offer some suggestions for me for fall/winter? I wear a RTW size 8/10 and am 40+. More traditional usually, but still will try out new trends. I can't tell from the description, but it looks like a knit. What's that wrap dress everyone loves? This would be terrific in that. Or the Hot Patterns Sunshine top, although you'd have plenty left over... Are you brave enough to wear a maxi dress? People seem to really love the Mission Maxi, but I'd prefer something with a little more shaping to it (if I were brave enough to wear a maxi, which so far I'm not!). It feels lucious. I want to find just the right pattern for it. I do like the maxi look, but I agree with you that for this fabric, I might like something with a bit more shaping to it. I know it's silly, but every time I look at it I love it a little bit more. It's a total schoolgirl crush.
