Something for fall/winter

Just purchased 3 yards of this:
Gaussian Flower

It's even more beautiful in real-life. Can someone offer some suggestions for me for fall/winter? I wear a RTW size 8/10 and am 40+. More traditional usually, but still will try out new trends. I really want to show off this fabric in some way.

Thanks

Lovely!!

Is it a knit or a woven? I can't tell from the description, but it looks like a knit. What's that wrap dress everyone loves? This would be terrific in that. Or the Hot Patterns Sunshine top, although you'd have plenty left over... Are you brave enough to wear a maxi dress? People seem to really love the Mission Maxi, but I'd prefer something with a little more shaping to it (if I were brave enough to wear a maxi, which so far I'm not!). PR member Brissie made a couple of *darling* maxis by lengthening Simplicity 3624.

Have fun!! It's a gorgeous fabric.

It does look like a knit, Stirwater, but it is woven cotten sateen with just a hint of stretch. It feels lucious. I want to find just the right pattern for it.

I do like the maxi look, but I agree with you that for this fabric, I might like something with a bit more shaping to it.

I know it's silly, but every time I look at it I love it a little bit more. It's a total schoolgirl crush.

Ok, well... how do you feel about the fancy pants trend right now? I bet this would make a darling pair of Collette Clover pants...

(And sorry about the maxi dress suggestions--I missed in your first post where you said Fall/Winter!)

I would make a sheath dress. Simple, shows off the pattern, and can be worn in several seasons.

Definitely slim fitting pants paired with a brown or rust colored top/overshirt and bronze sandals. Then, a review for all of us to enoy reading
