Date: 7/18/12 1:20 PM I just found out that there is going to be a Sewing Expo in Pittsburgh in August. It just happens to be the same time that I will be in the Pittsburgh area visiting family. Anybody ever been to one of these? Just wondering if it is worth attending during my vacation.

Date: 7/18/12 1:44 PM I attended the same Expo at Cleveland, OH. It hasn't been in Pittsburgh for awhile. At Cleveland they had different vendors and classes. I took several classes by Cynthia Guffey on fitting and a couple of serger classes. I went for the weekend and it was fun. If you are into quilting and embroidery there was tons of vendors. Not alot of vendors relating to garment sewing. There was two vendors with material, one pricey. I am not sure PIttsburgh will have the same vendors. When I looked at the list I didn't see the same vendors, and I am not sure it is as big. At Cleveland they gave away products, sewing machines and such the last day. I am planning on attending the Pittsburgh Expo on Friday since I only live about 45 minutes away. |

Date: 7/19/12 11:05 AM The Pittsburgh Class brochure is on-line at www.sewingexpo.com
While they don't have all the same people that were in Cleveland they do have some very good instructors such as Louise Cutting, Peggy Sagers, Londa Rohfling, Barb Callahan, Hope Yoder to name just a few. It'd probably be worth checking out if your in the Monroeville area. |
