Date: 7/19/12 4:00 PM This is my first time sewing princess seams. While sewing up muslin #5, I noticed that it was a little bit difficult to keep the seamlines matched up on the curves. Is there some sort of a trick to make it easier? |

Date: 7/19/12 6:31 PM Stay stitch the inner curve and clip it. Then make it match the piece with the outer curve. Pin or baste and stitch. |

Date: 7/19/12 7:08 PM If you're a visual learner (like me), you should check Youtube for some videos. I'm pretty sure that's what I did for my first princess seams and they came out perfect! Good luck. ------ Debra |

Date: 7/19/12 7:31 PM I do what Jacqui315 does. No headaches easing, no wavy seams, no ripples. I spent many hours ripping seams before using the 3/8" seam allowance method. I also serge my princess seams before sewing them.
Good luck! |

Date: 7/19/12 8:02 PM I baste by hand for final fit, then machine stitch, then clip, and then catch-stitch it down. Makes a HUGE difference.

Date: 7/20/12 10:12 AM I use half inch seams and do not clip my princess seams. For me, it simply isn't necessary. ------ The essence of life is statistical improbability on a colossal scale.
