Date: 7/20/12 6:25 PM Hi,
I have a Pfaff 2040 and it seems that I always get an extra piece of thread caught in the machine where the bobbin thread comes up every time I use the Tie-off and Reverse function. Almost every time, I am done with either function and pull my fabric out from my machine I have a single thread from the top and two or three threads from the other side. Help! I can't figure out what's going on. It seem to occur a lot more with the tie off rather than the reverse function. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Date: 7/21/12 12:04 PM Are you using your hand wheel to bring up the needle instead of the needle up function? It could be that the needle is not fully raised, which would cause multiple threads from the bobbin area. If you continue to turn the hand wheel toward yourself, it will release the extra thread.
If that's not the case, perhaps a small adjustment by your machine tech is in order.
I hope this helps. Good luck. ------ Michele Lommasson |
