I am making McCall's 6065 for my granddaughter who is 7 and tall for her age. Her measurements match Size 12 on the chart. I cut a muslin for the top and it fits in front but the back is tight. I am using a batiste and gingham for the dress. I don't know the best method to increase the back. Should I increase at the side seams or the center back? Also the armholes are a bit tight at the bottom third so I thought I'd cut those larger. I am a new sewist so I appreciate your help.

The easiest is to open the CB. Are shoulders long enough for her? If they are not, maybe you should trace a larger size?
