4 members like this. Date: 7/22/12 10:48 PM I was at a parking wearing my Simplicity 2219, and this lady came up to me and said "Your dress is gorgeous!!"
Of course she was in shock when I told her I made it. :)
Simplicity 2219
I've gotten compliments from perfect strangers and it's such a cool feeling!
Then I realized, I've never really gotten compliments before when I used to wear RTW.
I wonder if I get more compliments on my sewn garments because it's not something you usually see in the store? |

Date: 7/22/12 10:59 PM Maybe. But more likely because they are flattering styles, flattering fabrics and they FIT and flatter your body. ------ blog: goodworks1.wordpress.com

Date: 7/22/12 11:00 PM Often it's because it fits well--and people aren't used to seeing properly fitting clothes anymore! Congratulation on your dress! |

3 members like this. Date: 7/23/12 2:29 AM I agree, ninety per cent fit. My favourite spectator sport for whiling away long train journeys and airport lounge waits is mentally fixing the clothes people are wearing. You know - 'needs an FBA, shoulders falling off, could do with a top arm adjustment too, raise the waist on those pants!' The worst offenders are the office clothes available for women. Usually made in some horrible stiff polyester, they let the person occupy them, but in no way conform to her shape.
