I have about 20 past Burda magazine issues.
Everytime I wanted to get an inspiration, I used to bring the entire set of these to the living room and go through each one.
Today, I scanned the front cover and "All styles at a glance" pages, put them into sheet protector and filed them into a binder.
Now when I want to look for something, I'd just go to the binder, and if I find something I'd just grab that one issue.
I've been wanting to do this for awhile and now finally did them all!
Aaaawwww... Feel so much better!
I just hope I can do this everytime I get a new issue! |

Date: 7/23/12 8:06 AM I did almost the same thing, I photographed the "All styles..." pages and uploaded them to my Picasa album, so that I can see them wherever I am and have access to Internet. |

Yes, this is what I've been dreaming of doing for a while now. That's quite a task if you have a lot of magazines, but WELL worth it. I do exactly the same thing you used to -- bring the entire set into the living room and go through each one. ------ my shield and my very great reward (Gen. 15:1)

Date: 7/23/12 1:08 PM This sounds so familar.....Lately though I have been first sorting them out between summer and winter and only going through half. I have been dreaming of a way to organize them better. I like the picassa Idea I might try that method. Then you can organize the magazines by date. I was thinking today I should go through all the traced patterns as well and thin them out. I am such a collector/hoarder once I go through the trouble of tracing them i don't want to through them away, now I have a million traced patterns and some of this stuff I will never make again. Like that military jacket I put into the think pink contest last year. |

Date: 7/24/12 11:49 AM Yes copying All Styles at a Glance pages 0n a 17x 11 paper , folding and slipping into a sheet protector has been the way for me to see all my Burdas for many years. I have ALL copies of Burdas from when they started to do All Styles at a Glance Aug 93 they are all here:
shown here
Now I have about 25 plus Patrones but they dont have a line drawing on two pages so I have to thumb thru the back of those
I should do my la Mia Boutiques, have about 12 of those.....but I like to browse those, the line drawings are not "accurate".
My big folder is getting full, after this year i may need another
Fun seeing styles change over the decades....... ------ .....Behold, a wonder did appear;
Amazement was my bliss....... |

I am interested in the magazine Patrones. Can you share your experience with it?
Thanks |
