Hi:I just recently purchased a Pfaff 2140/2170. I know it has embroidery capabilities but haven't had a chance to really try out all its capable of. Someone is selling Designer's Gallery Studio Plus Embroidery Management with Colorworks(version 2.53) for $100+shipping and Designer's Gallery Custom Works II (ver.2.0) for $220 + shipping. These prices are slighly reduced from asking price a month ago. I didn't have embroidery, but enjoyed having the alphabet when my daughter was young, and she's now talking about having a baby and think I would use on baby items. Would also use some on other items like dresser scarves & pillowcases, but wouldn't be one to be embroidering all the time like some people do. I was sold a very large amt of designs-can't remember exact amt. came with the Custom Works II. I'm not real computer saavy. Wondering if anyone has & uses this software-know it's older version-that it was created by Babylock but other machines can use. How difficult is it to understand (tutorials are inc.), how much do you use it, & what earlier versions are really worth today. Know the Studio Plus is high for version, don't know about the Custom Works II. Do you even need any software? In order to get more designs the dealer I purchased sm from purchased a new cable that links sm with computer. But I was also wondering about costs of designs you download as the Custom Works II, in addition to all its other features included a large amt. of designs that were included. Was thinking of making an offer on the Custom Works II, but not sure what amt. Anyone with any experience or opinions about this software would be appreciated. Thanks.
