My DDIL wants me to make this top for her. It's made from t-shirts & don't think it would be hard to do. The only hesitation I have is about the neckline. How would you stabilize it?

I would attach a band to the shirt and then sew the ruffle on top.

It's a VERY cute top for a young woman, however, somehow the sleeve seems wrong.

I'd get some Steam-A-Seam, in 1/2", steam it on there, and then when I had the ruffle done, I'd peel off the tape and very carefully use the tip of my iron to press it the rest of the way down. Then sew.

Why won't you finish the neckline with binding and then sew on a decorative detail?
