It may be a button, lace, ribbon, stamped in the lining or my self designed machine embroidery but my family knows if I made it there will be a butterfly.

Date: 7/26/12 12:36 PM I didn't think I had one of these, but on my ballgowns I always put one or two rhinestones in the "wrong" colour. I think it is a bit of the rebel sewist in me that I want to prove these little "mistakes," even on the outside of a garment, even on one that is clearly meant primarily for decorative purposes, will never be seen by most people. Date: 7/26/12 12:36 PM I use bright prints as pocket linings, back stays, and other internal structures that won't be seen. Think of carousel horses, brilliant flowers, tiger stripes, Playboy girls, or Bob the Builder. The more whimsical and colourful, the better! Nobody sees them but it amuses me to know that they are there. Current project: a raincoat in a deep glowing blue -- with wild pink and blue flowers hidden inside it. ------ It's a custom-made designer original. I made it myself.

Date: 7/26/12 4:12 PM marec, I always finish my seams, I can't help it. I know no one else is looking, but I know it's there. An elderly lady apologized for crossing in front of me in the therapy pool to push that one last bead over on the abacus. She said she was OCD and could not help herself. She is at least in her mid eighties and I'm sure that finishing everything was part of her upbringing. I told her not to apologize and that I did not think she was OCD, I suggested that she was purposeful. So, I'm purposeful in finishing my seams. ------ I have no idea what Apple thought I was saying so be a Peach and credit anything bizarre to auto correct.
