I just went to a French magazine website to access an article I really want to read in full for an essay I'm writing, but I got a page with the message "Server.Transfer impossible." Does someone out there know what this means? Is it perhaps something to do with copyright between countries?

I'd imagine it has something to do wit their server, maybe a temporary error, try to check it later

I'd say it's a server problem. It's possible that the site is changing servers in the process of you accessing the article. It's also possible that the site is so busy, that it can't deliver the article to you. And it might have copyright issues between countries, but I'm not too sure of that.

Thanks, both of you -- it was temporary. At least now I've learned another Internet term for "stuff isn't working right now, try later." Their word "impossible" was a bit melodramatic, eh?

Sometimes there are limited messages to be used and the one closest in description was chosen.

Trying again after a few hours usually works.

"...impossible!" "...fatal error!" And they think we artist-types are emotional.
