Date: 7/29/12 2:30 PM I thought the notes on the Mainbochers not being lined was very interesting: The absence of a lining is typical in couture dressmaking, as the lining might cause an unwanted pull or wrinkle on the dress. Instead, the raw edges of the seams and hems are hand-overcast to prevent raveling. |
