It's the pink vintage dress again . . .
I posted about the pattern in the pattern forum, and I'm looking for the fabric too! The link below goes to a gorgeous (and very pink) vintage dress that I would like to re-create in a cool color befitting a redhead. The fabric texture is part of what makes the great preppy look of the dress though. Does anyone know where I can acquire vintage or vintage-style double knit with a diamond pattern like this? I know it must be out there because I own another dress made of this *exact* same fabric in a melon hue. Any tips on acquiring textured double knit in general are also appreciated. Thanks!

Ebay is a good place to start looking, I've picked up some really funky 70s fabrics there.

Emma One Sock and Marcy Tilton both carry a good assortment of double knits. Also check Gorgeous Fabrics and Christine Jonson Fabrics. They're all online highly reputable shops.

Look at the Goodwill or estate sales, I see it all the time.
My grandmother taught me to sew when I was 10, and I've been sewing ever since.
