Vintage polyester double knit

I posted about the pattern in the pattern forum, and I'm looking for the fabric too! The link below goes to a gorgeous (and very pink) vintage dress that I would like to re-create in a cool color befitting a redhead. The fabric texture is part of what makes the great preppy look of the dress though. Does anyone know where I can acquire vintage or vintage-style double knit with a diamond pattern like this? I know it must be out there because I own another dress made of this *exact* same fabric in a melon hue. Any tips on acquiring textured double knit in general are also appreciated.
