I recently finished this quilt top for the spare bed in my husbands home office. I'm ready to drop it off with my friend who will be long arm quilting it for me. She can do free-motion or pantograph. I'm really stuck on what I want.

Have you seen any log cabins with spectacular quilting? I'm thinking it could be geometric in nature, but I'm just not sure what I want. Any ideas appreciated.

The hardest thing is deciding on quilt motif - there seem to be alot of leaf type designs in the fabric so something with leaves?

What a beautiful quilt! You did a wonderful job!! I have seen a lot of quilts that are incorporating some embroidery with quilting. They are gorgeous. Don't know if this design would lend itself to that combo or not?

I'd also go with leaves of some sort and those swirly curly cues. I love your fabric choices and the unique design of the square layout. It's a beauty!

It's beautiful! I agree with a leave design or maybe one with hearts since the leaves are shaped similar.

Love the quilt! I'm not very familiar with machine quilting, I'm a hand quilter. Can you have quilting done that follows the design and accentuates the pattern and line of the quilt?
I have seen quilts were the quilting was so tight and close together that the quilt became rigid and was very uncomfortable to lie under. A minimal design might be good. Hope this helps, good luck!

Thank you everyone.

I think I'll see what my leaf options are. I love the dark teal leaf fabric--I went back and bought the end of the bolt and I would have purchased more if there had been any more available.

The back is a dark blue and green mottled. I'll see if I can get a photo tonight.

I want this quilt to be soft/cozy on the bed, so I think larger quilting designs will be best.
