Date: 7/29/12 11:19 PM Hello all I am going to be making my dog some belly bands and I want to make them with reusable pads made from terry cloth and maybe a little cotton batting etc. Haven't totally worked this detail out yet.
I plan to put a decorative material on the outside, lined with flannel on the inside , some pul to water proof inside that but I want to make a pocket type area that opens in the middle or maybe over laps a little so that I can insert a homemade pad with at least a few layers of terry cloth or something like that to absorb the pee and be able to reuse and wash.
I was orginally thinking about using velcro but I don't really like it that much and am hoping to avoid it all together by using snaps for closure. So that pocket insert idea seemed good.
I am not sure how to go about making the insert pocket area and was hoping you guys could help out.
I hope you all can understand what I am talking about.
I really don't know what it would be called so can't do any searching on it.
Anyway please let me know if I haven't explained this well enough and I will try again.
I look forward to hearing back from you all.
Thanks
