I'd like to make a simple woven top with 3/4 length dolman sleeves similar to this top

Is there a pattern out there that looks like this?

This New Look 6120 could be used. You would have to just use the top pattern pieces and lengthen them for where you want it to sit.

The link pic looks like it might be a shaped hem? Is that right?

edited for correct pattern no.

That might work. I don't really want a shaped hem so I could just cut it off to the length I want.

It depends on what you like about the original, the nice thing is that you can play with either pattern shaping it to suit you.

I really should be cleaning my house but this is more fun :)

I think I like the neckline on the Loretti better. One thing about Loretti patterns is that they don't provide you with a back view or fabric suggestions so I can't tell if the pattern is for knits only or a woven. I don't know why I couldn't even make the sleeves a little longer and omit the belt and the belt loops.

Okay, I'll throw something in here... Why not use the New Look pattern but change the boatneck to a round neck? That way, you'll have to pattern to know how much fabric to purchase, which kind, etc. I think you can do this, and if you don't feel you can, let me know and I'll help you. You're an Intermediate and you really might want to give this a try; it's much easier than you think. Just drop the CF neck about 2" and round it up to the shoulder.... Just my thoughts.

I've used this pattern that's pretty close. Trace the round neckline onto the v neck and lengthen the sleeves. You'll probably have to shorten it as it's really long. There's your pattern!

Debbie, that just might work. So many of the tops with the dolman sleeves are so wide and the armholes are so large that you see everything when you raise your arm. I am short and sometimes those blousey, full tops are overwhelming on me. I think if I shorten the length, lengthen the sleeves and change the neckline that I can achieve the look I want.

Also I could use another pattern for some elastic waist shorts and pants for this summer.
